Timing is a collection of 10 games/tests that measure your timing skills. Most are very simple and straight forward, yet each is highly engaging. Hitting timing windows that are only a few frames wide takes a considerable amount of concentration. Each game is designed to measure a different combination of the 6 facets of timing skill.
Having a very strong musical background certainly helps when it comes to timing skills. I distinctly remember how helpful certain piano/violin finger exercises were in developing my skills. I used those experiences as a model for designing the games/tests in Timing. If you find that you can hardly get a decent score on a few games/tests, don't worry. Everyday life simply doesn't do a great job exercising acceleration, complex, tracks, and internal facets of timing skills.
