To test your reflex skills B.E.S presents...
Reflex is a collection of 9 tests/games designed primarily to measure one's visual reflex skills. Many of the games are inspired by Flash Focus for the Nintendo DS.
It takes only minutes to play through all of the games. I wanted to create a more comprehensive testing system that would accurately and clearly show how your reflex skills different from visual, auditory, and physical stimuli, but I simply didn't have a good way to create a physical stimuli. So I decided to cut the auditory reflex tests from the game. I also wanted to create a graph showing exactly how one's reflexes slow when an increasing number of stimulus-response pairs are introduced into the test. I settled with having a 6th facet on the graph; "stimulus-response curve." This figure when compared to the "reflex" facet should show how response time increases as the test becomes more complex.
The game runs in 60 frames per second. Also, the first three reflex tests are measured in how many frames it takes you to react. I decided to use frames instead of milliseconds because many highly competitive games run in 60 fps and have communities that post frame data. Now you can easily understand how your reflex skills affect real game scenarios.
I programmed the entire game in 2 days and polished it in another 2. This is a record for B.E.S.
These are my scores. How are your eyes?
